ONCE UPON A TIME
Once upon a time, on a 23rd day of June, year 2007, someone asked me this question - “CAN I BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND”? After that moment, a lot of things changed.
We’ve been friends since 2nd year High School. After a year, perhaps, it leveled up. You became my first ever (GUY) BEST FRIEND. We’ve gone through almost all “a friendship” can ever encounter. Then another more intimate affair comes knocking in - ”when best friends became lovers”.
It took us almost a year to adjust to the new relationship. Petty quarrels, misunderstanding, miscommunication - they tested our relationship yet we conquered in that year.
one year had passed but we haven’t got any picture as a couple. I think this one was our first:
…a picture that has been cropped from our circle of friends group picture during your graduation.
The summer vacation after our high school graduation gave us a way to have more time for bonding before we part ways for college schooling.
I can’t remember exactly all the details. But before our college days started, we broke up but after two months, we reconciled.
LDR -our relationship in the succeeding months but we still found time to make memories together.
Break-ups followed. Once……Twice…..Thrice….until the nth time around.
Those breakups were all because of one thing: DIFFERENCE IN FAITH.
But at the end of the day, I still find myself coming back to you. As the song goes, “i take one step away and I find myself coming back to you”.
It is nice to reminisce our past but it is nicer to know that WE STILL HAVE EACH OTHER until now.
Up to this present time, I’m proud yet still praying that this relationship will still continue to surpass all trials we will encounter through time. Trials may be great, but we have a GOD that is greater than those obstacles. Let’s just have faith in Him. :)
I LOVE YOU, the whole you. I know you feel the same way, too. We may have our imperfections and differences but despite of these, we still have that magical feeling that words can’t fully express.

Even though we don’t celebrate this event, I would just want you to know that I still cherish this date - the date that had changed my life a lot.
